Correspondence with college president about Youth Socal Business networking Party with Muhammad Yunus, 29 June 2009, Dhaka
Thank you for your email. I, too, am a fan of the work of Muhammad Yunus. In 2005, Mr. Yunus came to B and had a pronounced impact on our community and our teaching. In fact, he has a standing invitation to return to speak at commencement, as well as to the broader community. His work has also shaped our view on “entrepreneurial thought and action,” which we believe reframes the process entrepreneurs utilize in achieving their goals. We believe that entrepreneurs like Mr. Yunus are change agents who will drive not only needed domestic, but also international economic growth and opportunities in the future. I wish you and your team all the best as you continue your grass roots efforts at reaching college students and providing them with more knowledge pertaining to ways to end global poverty.

have met Dr Yunus 7 times, and as someone whose profession (like my dad's) is to overturn globally branded markets where they are no longer governed by sustainable metrics, my pro bono commitment to Dr Yunus is to get some cities collaborating around the world where at least as many young people end up with a social business networking capability as a mastering business admin
Of 7 "rich" cities around the world, Boston is one of 4 in the USA where we are linking in most efforts including selecting dr yunus 5000 youth ambassadors. Dr Yunus briefed a graduate, Mostofa Zaman, from the Bangladeshi village to start on this project during Bali Microcredit summit last year http://yunusforum.net/?page_id=39 The youth ambassadors help search out links to 1000 social businesses and assemble future capitalism as a curriculum which is more open sourced than closed
I come up to Boston from DC about once a month. If it would be relevant to meet you or a colleague please say. Our June 29th day http://yunusforum.net/ is very much about getting after action debriefings from the 40 or so universities where Dr Yunus has presented. Until people have visited Dhaka it can be hard to imagine how far advanced Grameen is with some solutions that could scale across USA communities including:
